- How do I register for a class?
Registrations are NOT taken by phone or email—it is all done online. Go to the “Calendar” tab
and click on the studio you want to attend. Click on the painting you want to paint and follow
the registration process. You will be asked for your credit card information but your credit card
WILL NOT BE CHARGED—that is only to reserve your spot. Everyone pays at check in with cash,
credit card, debit card or gift certificate/coupon/voucher. The email address you use for your
account will be the one we use to contact you in case of class cancellations or changes. Please
make sure the spelling is correct and is an email you check on a regular basis. You will receive
an email when you make a reservation.
- Do you allow walk-ins?
We allow walk-ins on a first come, first served basis. Registered people take priority over walk-ins. If the class is full, you might not be able to paint. Registering online also allows us to be
set up for the number of people attending prior to the class. We recommend that you register
online whenever possible.
- How many people can I register for online?
You can register for as many as 10 people in your name. If you have a group of more than
10, you need to contact the studio. Update your seat count prior to class to avoid charges for
no shows at check in. If you register for 15 in your name and only 8 show up—YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE NUMBER YOU REGISTERED FOR.
We automatically reserve seats together for groups registered with 6 or more online.
- How do I cancel or change a reservation?
Cancellations and changes to a reservation are NOT taken by phone or email. Click on “My
Account” tab on the top right of the home page and login. Use your last name and email
address to login. Click on “Manage My Events” button to see all events you have registered for.
Look for the event that you want to update (add/remove/cancel). The system will not allow
you to make changes to a registration if the class is less than 24 hours from when you are trying
to make changes. Please email or call your local studio to request changes inside the 24 hour
time frame. When you make changes to your account—you will receive an email confirming
changes/cancellations for the class.
- How strict is the cancellation policy?
This policy is in place to allow all customers the opportunity to attend classes. We do not offer
refunds or gift certificates for class no shows. Please update your reservation online 24 hours
prior to class to avoid charges.
- What time does the class start?
Classes START at the time listed on the painting you selected. You need to be at the studio 30
minutes PRIOR to class start time to get checked in and get seated. You will NOT be allowed to
paint if you are 30 minutes late.
- What can we bring to eat and drink?
You can bring whatever you want to eat and drink. Please check with your local studio for
alcohol restrictions due to county ordinances. If not prohibited, we will have openers and
plastic cups available.
- How do I use a gift certificate?
You register online and follow the registration process. You will be asked for your credit card
information but it WILL NOT be charged. Bring your gift certificate when you come to check in
to class and redeem it then.
- What do I wear?
We have aprons for you to wear but we recommend that you wear old clothes because acrylic
paint does not come out of clothing.
- What do I need to bring?
We supply all materials needed to paint including canvas, paint and brushes. We do not allow
outside canvas. At the end of the class, you will leave with a finished painting.
- How much does it cost to attend a Sips N Strokes class?
Classes range from $25-$50. Go to the calendar tab and click on the painting you are interested
in and you will find more details about the painting including start time and price.
- Are your studios available for private parties?
The studios can be reserved for private parties. They are available on a first come, first
served basis. There is an additional fee for private parties and the cost per person is more
than a regular class with a minimum number of attendees. You can have a “party” within a
regular class for a group without paying the additional fees—most people find this to be more
economical. Contact your local studio for more details.
- What happens if the weather is bad on the night I am registered to paint?
The studio will be open if classes are scheduled. We will contact everyone registered for
the class by email if we cancel (for any reason). You will not be charged if the class has been
cancelled. Registering online ensures that you are notified of ANY closings.
- Do you allow spectators?
We do NOT allow people to come watch. If you want to attend the class, you must register and
pay for the class.
- What does “Open Studio” mean and what can we paint?
You can paint anything on the calendar for the month you attend as long as it is painting that is
the length of the Open Studio (2 hour painting vs. 3 hour painting). Our instructors will help you
with the painting that YOU want to paint. Please register online for Open Studio classes.
- When does the calendar come out for the next month?
The calendars for the next month usually come out the third week of the month prior.
- Do you have a waiting list for sold out classes?
If you are unable to register online, it means the class is full. Our reservation system is 100%
online in real time. There is not a waiting list in the studios for classes. Please check the
website—cancellations or changes in reservation numbers show up instantly and therefore
seats become available when others make changes.
- Is there an age requirement to attend a Sips N Strokes class?
Children 12 and up are welcome to attend with a painting adult. An adult who is registered to
paint during the class must accompany anyone under the age of 18. We do not allow infants in
